If you have a list of words, numbers of phrases that you would like to sort, we have some javascript code that can take care of it for you automatically. Of course you could sort them manually, but this can be tedious when you add new items to the list. Also, if you want to sort by width, this javascript will actually display the list in the browser and use the browser's settings to determine the exact widths so that your list can be shown in an aesthetically pleasing way.

First you need to decide how you want to display the items in your list - once you have decided, you can scroll down to the appropriate section of this page. With this script you can sort in the following ways: alphabetically/numerically, by width or a random shuffle.

If your users are going to be searching through the list, then sorting alphabetically/numerically is probably the best approach.
