How Effective is Hypnosis for Premature Ejaculation?

The effectiveness of using hypnosis for premature ejaculation will depend on the underlying cause and the individual patient. Some people are benefited more from hypnosis techniques than others. Overall, hypnosis for premature ejaculation can be an effective treatment method if done with a licensed therapist or using a therapist-designed self-help program.

Premature ejaculation is one of the most common sexual problems. Men with this condition may find that they cannot withhold ejaculation long enough to satisfy a sexual partner. Additionally, stress associated with this problem may make sex less enjoyable for the patients themselves. This is usually considered a lifelong problem unless adequate treatment is sought.

The use of hypnosis for premature ejaculation aims to help patients relax and regain more control over their bodies. It also gives patients more control over their minds. Both the mind and body work together in this respect, because a stronger mind is able to gain more control over every aspect of the body.

Some patients may take longer than others to reap the benefits of hypnosis for premature ejaculation. Those who are unusually stressed or who suffer from anxiety may require more and longer sessions than those who already have a good understanding of relaxation techniques or who practice meditation. Sessions will generally be more effective when performed with a licensed hypnotherapist who specializes in sexual dysfunction.

There are researchers who claim that other methods are more effective at treating premature ejaculation than hypnotherapy. The right treatment method will largely depend on the individual. There is no harm in attempted hypnosis for premature ejaculation, though, as there are no side effects like there can be with certain medications. Men who are suffering from this condition should speak with their doctors to determine the best course of action.

In some cases premature ejaculation and other sexual dysfunction may occur later in life. This is often associated with a particular stressor or event, such as the death of a loved one. In many cases, once the traumatic event or anxiety has passed, sexual function returns to normal.

Rarely, premature ejaculation may be caused by an underlying medical condition. For this reason, men who experience this or any other sexual dysfunction, especially if symptoms arise suddenly, should have a thorough examination. This is especially important if other symptoms are also present.

Hypnosis may work for premature ejaculation. I know someone who was able to treat his PE with hypnosis and some other techniques. It's important to work with a good therapist and to really believe in it. If one does not go into it believing that hypnosis will work, then it probably won't.

There is no doubt however that we can change our thinking and behavior patterns through hypnosis. We can even do this ourselves. There are countless sources with information on self-hypnosis out there. If nothing else, hypnosis can help us relax which by itself can do wonders for premature ejaculation. I think that this is a good option for men who are not seeing results with other premature ejaculation treatments.

I tried hypnosis for premature ejaculation and it did not work for me. I've gotten much better results with sexual education which is also a therapy program done under the supervision of a therapist or a doctor. The downside to the program is that a partner must participate which may prevent singles from participating. Hypnosis might be a better option for single men, but I have no idea if it it will be effective for others because it wasn't effective for me. The effectiveness of hypnosis might depend on the premature ejaculation cause.

I don't have experience with this but I'm sure that hypnosis and other psychotherapy techniques can help control premature ejaculation.

Psychology is an important aspect of the condition. Doctors say that stress and anxiety can cause premature ejaculation or make it worse. For this reason, getting professional help to reduce this stress should help. But I agree with the article that one should only seek help from professionals who have experience with this type of hypnosis.
